The Action Center for Equality and Human Rights (ACTEDO) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in Cluj-Napoca in 2013 to promote fundamental rights and gender equality and to act against human rights violations. ACTEDO offers people vulnerable to discrimination and violations of fundamental rights free legal assistance through pro bono lawyers. The NGO also organizes information and education activities on human rights issues and implements advocacy actions to bring real changes in legislation and public policies affecting vulnerable members of society.

A.L.E.G. The Association for Freedom and Gender Equality (A.L.E.G.) is a Sibiu-based non-governmental organization, which has been active since 2004 in fighting and preventing violence against women and promoting gender equality. The A.L.E.G. offers psychological counselling services, including online, to women who experience domestic violence, as well as their children. The association also implements educational and advocacy activities to promote gender equality and a gender-free society.

National Federation of Food Banks. The first Association for the collection and distribution of Food was established in 2016 in Bucharest to serve the society an instrument by which food and personal hygiene products within the period of validity, as well as those which are no longer needed by the holders, but which are good for use, be collected, properly stored and then redistributed free of charge to organizations providing services to the disadvantaged. The Food Bank currently operates in 10 cities: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Roman, Brasov, Oradea, Timisoara, Constanta, Galati, Craiova and Sibiu.

Dog Assist is a non-governmental organization established in 2013 in Cluj-Napoca, which uses animal-assisted therapy to improve the quality of human life. Dog assist team is a multidisciplinary team, made up of trained dog leaders, therapy dogs and clinical psychologists, which aims to publicize this scientifically validated therapy method so that as many people as possible can get to enjoy its benefits.

Food Waste Combat is an association based in Cluj-Napoca, which has as its mission the fight against food waste. Established in 2012 by an enthusiastic young team, Food waste combat organizes a series of educational activities with children to install values such as creativity, courage, curiosity, enthusiasm, and respect for food. The association also works with the National Federation of Food Banks.

Pro Voluntariat is an association that aims to form volunteer teams that will become involved in various branches of social assistance at national level. The Association is an open door for both individuals with a vocation in the field, seeking opportunities for volunteering, and for those who need support for personal development and improvement of the current social situation. Pro Voluntariat conducts programs based on voluntary services, with implementation in various fields, with priority for those with immediate needs, in the areas of social, environment, education, health and protection.
